Let us pray for the Mercy of a Visitation that will lead to revival and peace on earth at our own time. • 3 years ago in 2021, a military junta took over the democratically elected government in Myanmar, jailed the people’s elected officials, and began to kill the citizens for saying no to this dastardly move. This Holy Week, in the ongoing carnage, they burnt alive the bodies of men resisting them.

 • There is no respite this Holy Week, in the Holy land, in the war in Gaza. One side is determined not to let the other continue to exist on earth.

• This Holy Week in Nigeria, foreign bandits do “cash and carry” negotiation with a government “elected” to protect the lives of the citizens whose ancestral lands are being increasingly taken away from them, as they are being eliminated. It is like fiction!

• In Nigeria, in this Holy Week, people are falling down dead with hunger, mothers are selling their children to have money to eat like that time in Samaria in 2 kings 7.

• In this Holy Week a pastor in California in the United States paid a hitman $40,000 to kill the boyfriend of his daughter in order to sever their relationship. The plan failed and the “man of God” is under arrest.

• In America, a former president has launched a new Bible business in this Holy Week. He is selling, for 60 dollars each, a new Bible dedicated to the American Constitution. But it is Holy Week nonetheless:

1. It began last Sunday with the commemoration of the triumphant entry into Jerusalem. There is still a triumphant entry into our “Jerusalem” cities today. The poor, the weak, the homeless and the hopeless in whose lives the Lord Jesus had done great miracles are still following Him as they did well over two thousand years ago, crying Hosannah!

2. Nothing can silence the cry of Hosannah. The guns cannot silence the cry either in Nigeria, America Myanmar or elsewhere. Nor can prisons do so.

3. On Wednesday of this Holy Week 2024, behold Judas is still very much at work, launching the betrayal of Jesus offering Him for sale for 60 dollars in the cathedrals, much less than the thirty pieces of silver of old.

4. And today, even now, Jesus is being presented to the executioners by the church leaders, by the rulers of state, by the judges of the courts of law while they free the notorious robbers: the wicked rulers, and the notorious bandits in Nigeria, are being left free! BUT:

• This is not nothing new! It is the recycling of evil! When Jesus chose to come to rescue Man from sin, Satan took over the government and slaughtered a generation of boys in order to drown the Truth.

• And this is the story of the Holy Week. The bishops, the professors of theology, the so called “shakers and movers” of society, the celebrities, laid siege against Truth and crucified Jesus.

• The enemy rejoiced on Friday. The enemy thought that was the end. But Friday turned out good because that was the day of victory for the people of God.

Now, here is the Conclusion of the Matter: As it is so well shown in the books of Deuteronomy 24, Judges from chapter 3, and throughout the book of Isaiah, when Judah sins, when the church of God sins, the nations around the church will sin, because without the Light from the church, the people will stagger. And then the earth will fall into the stupor of sin. As it is now. The Holy God will not allow that state to continue. Make no mistake. The Lord will judge the wicked and there will be revival. Let us cry to Him in repentance on behalf of ourselves, the church and 5th nations. As we celebrate this Holy Friday, bemoaning the state of affairs, know that Resurrection Sunday is coming. Yes, evil is rife now, but Resurrection Sunday is coming. Welcome Great Holy Week. Happy Resurrection Sunday.

At least eight persons have been killed in a fresh Boko Haram attack in Bulamari village in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State. The attack came barely a week after the insurgents killed 8 farmers at Molai outskirts on Maiduguri-Damboa Road. Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, on Friday confirmed the killing in Maiduguri, saying “within the last few days, we have seen some pockets of attacks and this would be allowed to continue like that. “Just yesterday some people were killed and farmers cannot access their farms easily, we have access in 2021, 2022 and I see no reason we can’t have access now. “I have seen the army personnel, we will have a meeting, we will ensure strong mechanism that can allow farmers to cultivate their lands and also deal ruthlessly with the remaining miscreants that are hovering around the metropolitan and its environs.” 
In a surprising twist at the Presidential Election Petitions Court, a witness representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, alleged that President Bola Tinubu identified himself as a woman when applying to Chicago State University in the United States. The witness, Mike Enahoro-Ebah, who was called to the court by the PDP, claimed that Tinubu, in a 1977 transcript from South West College in the US, used the name ‘Bola Adekunle Tinubu’ and marked his gender as female. The PDP also presented a US court judgement on the forfeiture of $460,000 and a Guinean passport allegedly linked to Tinubu. A 2-year-old boy in Norwalk, Ohio, shot his pregnant mother in the back, killing her and the unborn child, police say. Police received a call just after 1 p.m. on June 16 from the 31-year-old mother, who said she was “shot in the back by her 2-year-old son,” according to a news release from the Norwalk Police Department. She also informed the dispatcher she was eight months pregnant, the release said. Officers arrived at the house and forced entry through a locked front door, according to the release. Both the mother and her son “were found in the upstairs master bedroom, along with” a pistol, the release said. The son was removed from the room at the request of his mother, and officers rendered aid. The mother was transported to a medical center where an emergency C-section was performed. The unborn son was later pronounced dead, followed by the mother. 
Former President Donald Trump is set to address evangelical Christian voters at a major gathering Saturday in Washington, where he will seek to shore up their support as his legal troubles mount and rivals take aim at his character. The Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority Policy Conference kicks off a summer of “cattle calls” at which the GOP field will audition in front of key audiences ahead of the 2024 presidential primary. Most of Trump’s rivals spoke Friday, with several taking jabs, both direct and subtle, at the former president. But Trump has the conference’s prime speaking spot, delivering what’s billed as the keynote address at a Saturday dinner. Joni Ernst’s “Roast and Ride” earlier this month, Trump has appeared via video message. 
 A 1 a.m. shooting at a party in downtown St. Louis kills one and injures nearly a dozen. Gunmen open fire during a fight near Florida’s Hollywood Beach, injuring nine, including a 1-year-old. Bursts of gunfire at a Sweet 16 party in Dadeville, Alabama, kill four and wound more than 30. What these and other recent mass shootings share in common is they all involve suspects in their teens, highlighting what can be a deadly mix of teenage bravado and impulsiveness with access to guns. The days when many teens opted to fight out disagreements with fists seem quaint by comparison. “I remember when I was a child and we had fights — somebody got a black eye or a broken nose and (they) lived to tell about it,” St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones told reporters after Sunday’s shooting. Reaching for a gun is the default these days for some teens who are as quick to take offense as to pull a trigger, agreed Rodney Phillips, a 50-year-old former Chicago Black Disciples leader who works with gang members nationwide to tamp down festering beefs. “Now, the first thing out of their mouths is, ‘I’m gonna kill you.’ It’s the brazenness of (the shootings), the reckless abandon, doing it in public places,” Phillips said. “It wasn’t like that when I came up.”

Russian warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin has claimed he is moving against Russia’s military leadership and that his fighters have entered the country’s Rostov region ready to “destroy everything” in their way – in a stunning series of developments that pits Moscow’s security establishment against a militia leader whose forces have played a pivotal role in the invasion of Ukraine. Prigozhin, who is the chief of private military group Wagner, made the claims in a series of Telegram messages on Friday in which he accused Russian forces of striking a Wagner military camp and killing a “a huge amount” of his fighters. Russia’s Ministry of Defense denied Prigozhin’s claims, calling it an “informational provocation”. The Federal Security Service (FSB), Russia’s domestic intelligence service, has responded by urging Wagner fighters to detain their leader and on Friday it opened a criminal case against the Prigozhin. 
The United Nations human rights chief and the European Union have expressed alarm over ongoing violence in the occupied West Bank, and over attacks by settlers on Palestinian villagers. But a prominent member of the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for illegal settlers’ outposts to be expanded and turned into full settlements. Hundreds of Israeli settlers attacked the Palestinian village of Turmusayya in the West Bank on Wednesday, the day after the killing of four Jewish settlers nearby, according to the mayor of the village. Those killings had been in response to an Israeli military operation in the Jenin area. The EU representative to the Palestinians, joined by more than 20 diplomatic missions from the EU and beyond, has visited Turmusayya “to express condolences to the victims of the settler attacks on 21 June and see the houses and property impacted,” the mission said on Twitter. The chief spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also condemned the settler attacks in Turmusayya and Urif. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari described the incident as “very grave.”

• In a typical home in today’s America, a 2-year-old has access to a loaded gun and might have thought it was just another of his toy guns. Pray for mercy for homes in today’s America. Pray for the spirit of repentance over this nation and especially its leaders.
• Pray for the rescue of the children and the youth in America increasingly being raised by the mindless media. Pray the Lord for laborers in this vast filed to pick them up for the Lord. 
• Pray the Lord to open the eyes of the Evangelicals this time that they may not again bargain with the devil on who should lead the Church of Jesus Christ and who rule His nation

Is there a physical location called Heaven?
How many Heavens are there?
So, let’s begin by reading those texts indicated above.
Is there life after death? Do we have evidence that there is life after death? Is there incontrovertible evidence that there is life after death or is it just in our imagination?
• The Science community (Academy of Sciences/ resuscitation science) now hold “that death is not an absolute, but a process”. People who are being resuscitated sometimes perceive an out of body experience. And some realize that they had actually died.
• At this point we may need to consider anecdotal evidence of the afterlife experience of those who were pronounced dead and came back to life to discuss their experience of an afterlife. Many people who were declared clinically dead “have been jolted back to life, some of them unwillingly, after experiencing.an unmistakably beautiful and transcendent place.”
The Bible, the Book of Truth, clearly assures us there is an After Life. Jesus’ life, His death and resurrection is an absolute proof that there is an afterlife waiting for everyone: There are many Scriptures that point to this Truth: John 11:25-26; Hebrew 9:27; John 3:16; Romans 10:28. Let us come up with Scripture on this Truth that you are familiar with

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has detained the Receiver Manager appointed by the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria for Arik Nigeria Limited, Mr Kamilu Omokide, over alleged misappropriation and diversion of about N120bn. Saturday PUNCH learnt that the EFCC detained Omokide alongside one Captain Samuel Caulcrick in connection with alleged illegal sale and tearing down of a $41m CRJ 1000 aircraft, which was operated by Arik Air. Documents obtained by our correspondent on Friday revealed that the detention of the two top executives was sequel to a petition written by human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), who is a solicitor to Arik Nigeria Limited. The petition detailed how there had been alleged financial fraud and sales of assets worth over N120bn. 
Bandits attacked the Ungwan Maaji community in the New Millenium City suburb of Kaduna on Friday night, resulting in the shooting of one person and the kidnapping of six others. A survivor, who spoke with journalists in Kaduna on Saturday, recounted that the hoodlums arrived in the area around 9:10 pm and targeted a house close to Chaha Eye Hospital, where they abducted a housewife and her house help. According to reports, the bandits also attacked another house on the same street, kidnapping four more individuals. An eyewitness revealed that two other individuals who were outside their house were also abducted, but they managed to escape while being taken away through a stream at the back of the community. The Imam of the area, narrating his escape, stated that he had not returned home after leading the Isha’i prayer, typically performed around 8:00 pm, when the kidnappers arrived. “I was taken in front of the Mosque, and then they broke into two other houses and took six people. While they were breaking into the second house, myself, another neighbour, and the woman with her house help kidnapped from the first house were asked to lie down on the bare floor over there,” the Imam explained.
Sequel to the incessant rate of Gender-based violence brought about by the lingering insecurity challenges in Kaduna state, 40 community members have been initiated into he Mixed Observers’ Team (MOT) to check the recurring trend. This was disclosed by Executive Director, Global Initiative for Women and Children (GIWAC), Hajiya Hafsat Baba during the opening of a 3-day capacity building for the MOT in Kaduna at the weekend. Hajiya Baba who was the Kaduna state’s immediate past commissioner for Human Services and Social Development said the project is a pivotal step towards giving the voiceless in society a voice.

President Joe Biden on Friday marked one year since the passage of the first major gun safety legislation in a generation during a summit in Connecticut, as gun violence reaches record levels in the United States and additional congressional action remains stalled. In remarks at the National Safer Communities Summit in Connecticut, the president delivered an impassioned speech on taking further steps to protect communities, arguing that he believes the movement has reached a “tipping point.” “Whether you’re Democrats or Republicans we all want families to be safe. We all want to drop them off at a house of worship, a mall, a movie, a school door without worrying that it’s the last time we’re going to see them. We all want our kids to have the freedom to learn, to read and to write instead of learning how to duck and cover in a classroom. And above all, we all agree we are not finished. We are not finished. We are not finished,” Biden said to applause in the packed auditorium. 
A 54-year-old Manhattan man was arrested after he allegedly raped and gave drugs to a 14-year-old girl who overdosed in a New York City hotel room, according to prosecutors. The child survived the May 26 overdose after being taken to the hospital, according to a statement from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. “This indictment charges that the defendant used drugs and money to engage in targeted and repeated sexual abuse of a child,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in the statement. “My Office is actively investigating these allegations and the potential that the defendant’s criminal conduct reaches much farther than the charges contained in today’s indictment.” Michael Olson has been charged with more than 15 counts, including second degree rape and criminal sale of a controlled substance to a child, according to the indictment. He pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday, according to online case records. His attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.  
On May 26, first responders found the girl overdosing in a Manhattan hotel room with Olson, the district attorney’s statement said. Various drugs – including ketamine, cocaine and Xanax – were also found in the hotel room, according to the statement. Assistant District Attorney John Fuller described content found on Olson’s devices during the investigation, including hundreds of screenshots showing the social media accounts of “young, Asian teenage girls” he messaged, according to the record. Olson “targeted” girls who posted pictures about high school acceptance letters, PSAT scores, financial difficulties or self-harm, according to a record of his remarks provided by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. 
A house of worship, though, is traditionally the last place someone would expect to see lethal violence. Churches are called sanctuaries for a reason. A sanctuary is defined as a place of refuge and safety “set apart from the profane, ordinary world.” But church and security officials say houses of worship are placed in a uniquely dangerous position every Sunday morning. Congregations are traditionally unprotected and are expected to welcome “the stranger” no matter how dangerous they may look. Houses of faith are one of the few public communal spaces in the country that were created to embrace all comers, including broken or disturbed people on the fringes of society. The New Life shooting in Colorado ushered in an era of mass shootings where even churches are no longer safe.In 2015, a White supremacist gunman killed nine worshippers at a historic Black church in Charleston, South Carolina.  Two years later, a gunman killed 26 worshippers at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.  In 2019, a gunman killed two people inside a Texas Church of Christ—including an armed parishioner working security—before he was shot to death by another member of the church’s security team. The entire shooting incident, from the time the gunman pulled a weapon to the time he was shot, lasted six seconds.

Armed rebels attacked a school in western Uganda, killing at least 41 people, mostly students, and abducting six others, Ugandan officials have said. Some were hacked to death with machetes while others died when their dormitories were set on fire, military spokesman Felix Kulayigye told CNN. About 20 members of the ISIS-linked Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebel group attacked the Lhubirira secondary school late on Friday, according to Uganda’s military. The school is situated along Uganda’s border with Congo in the town of Kasese, and educates children between the ages of 13 and 18. Of the dead, 39 were students and two were from the local community, local officials said. Authorities were still trying to extinguish the fire by Saturday morning. The military suspects more dead bodies may be found, but said there was no one still alive trapped in the school. According to Kulayigye, there had been 62 people in the school during the attack. “We’re commiserating with the families, and the leadership of the UPDF (Ugandan Peoples’ Defense Forces) are on the ground and have been deployed to protect the place,” he added.
The sinking of a packed migrant boat off the coast of Greece may be “the worst tragedy ever” in the Mediterranean sea, according to the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson. Dozens of people were killed and hundreds more left missing when the boat, traveling from the coastal city of Tobruk in Libya to Italy, capsized off the coast of Greece earlier this week. The true toll of the disaster is yet to become clear. “We don’t have all the information yet on what has happened, but it seems like this is the worst ever tragedy we’ve seen in the Mediterranean,” she told a press conference in Brussels on Friday. The tragedy has shone a spotlight on the EU refugee crisis in which every year, tens of thousands of migrants fleeing war, persecution, climate change and poverty risk treacherous routes to Europe.

AMERICA:
• Children and teenagers are under siege in America. Teenagers are especially at the mercy of predators using the internet. Pray for the restoration of the American Home.  Pray that parents will not abandon parenting to public agencies. 
• Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of American leaders to the need to control access to guns. Pray that their eyes will be opened to other countries which are much safer because they control access to guns. 
• Come against the twin daemons of greed and avarice that have chained them to the god of mammon.
• Let us pray for the fear of God to take root in the hands of people that they will not hunt down fellow men and women
The World:
• Pray for Uganda. Pray for their deliverance from the hands of pitiless marauders. Pray the Lord to comfort the parents of those children. 
• This week pray for the youth who are the immigrants running away from oppressive regimes, perishing again and again on the high seas in search of food, peace and safety.
• Pray for an end to the unnecessary and oppressive war in Ukraine. Pray for Peace in the world. Pray for REVIVAL on earth at our own time in Jesus Name.

His week in Nigeria:       
The Catholic community in Kaduna State has called on President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani to call the immediate past governor. of the state, Nasir El-Rufai to order before he sets the entire country into a religious crisis. This is against the backdrop of a controversial statement on Muslim dominance in the governance of Kaduna State credited to the former governor. According to a trending video, El-Rufai had in a meeting with some Muslim clerics, said in Hausa language that most Christians in the state did not vote for his party, the All Progressives Congress, hence the reason he orchestrated their exclusion from being even Deputy Governor. The former governor also claimed that the APC can win elections in the state and the nation in general without the Christians. However, in an open letter copied to the Presidency and the Governor of Kaduna State, the Nigerian Catholic Diocesan Priests Association (NCDPA), Kaduna State chapter asked Governor Sani to make his official position on El-Rufai’s inciting utterances known because he (Sani) was at the event where El-Rufai made the controversial statement. The letter was jointly signed by chairmen of Kaduna Archdiocese, Rev. Fr Joseph Gandu, Kanfanchan Diocese, Very Rev. Fr Douglas Rock and Zaria Diocese, Very Rev. Fr Samuel Ameh. 
Gunmen in Nigeria have killed dozens of people and kidnapped a number police and residents said on Sunday, the latest incidents in a region dogged by armed violence. Armed gangs on motorbikes frequently take advantage of thinly stretched security forces in the region to kidnap villagers, motorists and students for ransom. Residents said armed men had attacked Janbako and Sakkida villages in northwestern Zamfara state on Saturday, killing 24 people. The gunmen also abducted several children who were collecting firewood in a forest in neighboring Gora village. Hussaini Ahmadu and Abubakar Maradun, local residents in Janbako and Sakkida, told Reuters by phone that the gangs had earlier in the week demanded villagers pay a fee to enable them to farm their fields, but Zamfara villagers did not do so.
State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, yesterday, convicted and sentenced the General Overseer of the Alter of Solution and Healing Assembly in Oyigbo Local Council, Pastor Chidiebere Okoroafor to death by hanging for killing three people, including his choir mistress, he allegedly impregnated. In his judgment, Justice S. O. Benson said the evidence and confessional statement by Pastor Okoroafor proved that he murdered his choir mistress, Orlunma Nwagba, her friend, Chigozie Ezenwa alongside her daughter, Cresabel Ezenwa. Justice Benson ruled that the convict should be hanged on his neck until he dies or be injected with lethal injection, which will also kill him fast In a fresh post on his Twitter page, Sani has once again stated that in the month of May 2018, El-Rufai publicly ordered the residents of Kaduna State to kill him if he visits. He wrote, “Intoxicated by power,in the month of May 2018,now Retired El Rufai publicly called on the people of Kaduna to unleash violence against me and other Senators anytime we come into Kaduna. The clear directive was to kill me and others. The venue was Ranchers Bees Stadium.”

A gun store owner near Atlanta said he is closing his store after his conscience was burdened by recent mass shootings that targeted young victims. Jon Waldman, 43, opened Georgia Ballistics in Duluth in March 2021, and post-pandemic business has been steady ever since, he said. But a pair of recent attacks, one at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, and another inside an Atlanta hospital, were the final straws for Waldman, who said that his shop is already closed and that he plans to have all weapons cleared out by June 15. “There’s no guilt about it. I sell to law-abiding citizens,” Waldman said Thursday. He said he reached the point of worrying that any weapon he sells, even to someone who will never commit a crime, could end up in the wrong hands. “I’m not against the Second Amendment. But just with my conscience, I can’t sell it, because I don’t know who it’s going to affect and hurt,” he said.
Donald Trump has been charged with 37 counts in relation to the mishandling of records at Mar-a-Lago as well as his efforts to block the government from recovering the documents.   An indictment unsealed by the Justice Department Friday underscores the high-level material the former president kept after leaving office, the times he improperly shared it with those without clearances and the extent he sought to block any efforts to retrieve them. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) on Friday said the charges contained in a 37-count indictment brought by Justice Department (DOJ) special counsel Jack Smith against former President Trump are “quite serious and cannot be casually dismissed.”  Murkowski, who says the Republican Party needs to move past Trump and was one of seven Senate Republicans who voted to convict him on an impeachment charge in 2021, said in a statement that “mishandling classified documents is a federal crime because it can expose national secrets, as well as the sources and methods they were obtained through.”
North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the state’s first Black lieutenant governor and the GOP front-runner for the 2024 gubernatorial race, repeatedly lambasted the “so-called” 1960s Civil Rights Movement, lamenting that “so many freedoms were lost during the civil rights movement. In a CNN KFile review of his media appearances over the last five years, Robinson baselessly claimed that the Civil Rights Movement was a communist plot to “subvert capitalism” and used “to subvert free choice and where you go to school and things like that. ”So many things were lost during the Civil Rights Movement. So many freedoms were lost during the Civil Rights Movement. They shouldn’t have been lost,” Robinson said. One of the most dangerous hours in America is now 11 o’clock on Sunday morning.
A house of worship, though, is traditionally the last place someone would expect to see lethal violence. Churches are called sanctuaries for a reason. A sanctuary is defined as a place of refuge and safety “set apart from the profane, ordinary world.” But church and security officials say houses of worship are placed in a uniquely dangerous position every Sunday morning. Congregations are traditionally unprotected and are expected to welcome “the stranger” no matter how dangerous they may look. Houses of faith are one of the few public communal spaces in the country that were created to embrace all comers, including broken or disturbed people on the fringes of society. The New Life shooting in Colorado ushered in an era of mass shootings where even churches are no longer safe In 2015, a White supremacist gunman killed nine worshippers at a historic Black church in Charleston, South Carolina.  Two years later, a gunman killed 26 worshippers at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.  In 2019, a gunman killed two people inside a Texas Church of Christ—including an armed parishioner working security—before he was shot to death by another member of the church’s security team. The entire shooting incident, from the time the gunman pulled a weapon to the time he was shot, lasted six seconds.

The smoke from hundreds of wildfires burning in Canada, which has already blanketed parts of the US and placed around 75 million people under air quality alerts, has reached as far as Norway, according to scientists in that country. Over the last few days, plumes of smoke have stretched from Canada across Greenland, Iceland and made their way to Norway. Scientists at the Climate and Environmental Research Institute in Norway (NILU) have been able to detect the increase in smoke using very sensitive instruments and then confirm its origin using forecast modeling.
Four young children have been found alive after more than a month wandering the Amazon where they survived like “children of the jungle,” according to Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro. “Their learning from indigenous families and their learning of living in the jungle has saved them,” Petro told reporters on Friday, after announcing on Twitter that they had been found 40 days after they went missing following a plane crash that killed their mother. Petro said the children were all together when they were found, adding they had demonstrated an example of “total survival that will be remembered in history.” “They are children of the jungle and now they are children of Colombia,” he added. Revealing their discovery earlier in the day, the Colombian president had tweeted an image that seems to show search crews treating the children in a forest clearing, along with the words: “A joy for the whole country!” Their grandmother, María Fátima Valencia, said she was “going to hug all of them” and “thank everyone” as soon as they were reunited in their home city of Villavicencio, where they live. “I’m going to,  encourage them, I’m going to push them forward, I need them here,” she said. The children, who appear gaunt in the photos, are being evaluated by doctors and will be taken to the town of San Jose del Guaviare. They are expected to receive further treatment in Bogota, the capital, according to Defense Minister Ivan Velasquez. “We hope that tomorrow they will be treated at the military hospital,” he said, while praising the Colombian military and indigenous communities for helping find them. Lesly Jacobombaire Mucutuy, age 13, Soleiny Jacobombaire Mucutuy, 9, Tien Ranoque Mucutuy, 4, and infant Cristin Ranoque Mucutuy were stranded in the jungle on May 1, the only survivors of a deadly plane crash.

A young man who showed his face but not his name has put out a broadcast which shows, by the logic of facts presented, that there is no fuel subsidy in Nigeria and that the thing called subsidy is only a means of syphoning oil money directly into the accounts of some people and they have done this under Buhari for 8 years. The corrupt beneficiaries  are known and will be revealed.
In a high-Profile case, The Osun State High Court yesterday sentenced the Founder of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, to death by hanging over the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Justice Adepele Ojo, also found him guilty of conspiracy, oath of secrecy among others. “I found the first defendant (Ramon Adedoyin) culpable of the conspiracy to murder and murder.” Justice Ojo also said Adedoyin’s decision not to enter the witness box meant he agreed to the murder charge pressed against him by the prosecution. He dismissed the alibi pleaded on his behalf by his counsel, who said the hotel owner was in Abuja for many days around the time of the death of the late Adegoke.
Following the directive of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), to its affiliate unions to mobilize their members and be ready for a total shutdown of economic activities across Nigeria on Wednesday 7 June 2023, should the Federal government fail to reverse the recent fixed fuel pump price by NNPCL, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has directed its teeming members to prepare to join the action. NUJ in a press statement signed by its National Secretary, Shuaibu Usman Leman, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, said the Central Working Committee of the pen-pushers union, deliberated on the issues and found NLC’s position and proposed action worthy as it’s in the interest of Nigerian citizens. The Directive in part read; “An emergency Central Working Committee meeting of the Union (NUJ) was convened online today, Saturday, June 3, 2023, to discuss issues surrounding the decision by the Federal Government to remove Fuel Subsidy and the position taken by the Nigeria Labour Congress. “After presentations by the National President, Chris Isiguzo, and the National Treasurer, Bamidele Atunbi on the position taken by NLC on the matter, members unanimously adopted the position of NLC on the issue.

A parent angered by a spate of book bans across the US has taken revenge, of sorts – by getting the Bible banned from some of Utah’s schools. The Davis School District, which has nearly 74,000 children, has largely removed the book from circulation but has kept it in high school libraries. In a copy of the parent’s complaint seen by NBC News, they said their effort to ban the Bible was a protest against a 2022 state law that made it easier to remove “pornographic or indecent” content from schools. They said: “I thank the Utah Legislature and Utah Parents United (a conservative activist group backing the law) for making this bad faith process so much easier and way more efficient”. “Now we can all ban books and you don’t even need to read them or be accurate about it. “Heck, you don’t even need to see the book!” The parent, whose name is redacted in the complaint, submitted eight pages setting out objectionable material from the Bible, including examples of incest, prostitution, rape, genital mutilation, bestiality, and infanticide.
Peralta faces a first-degree murder charge, according to the Chaves County District Attorney’s Office. CNN is attempting to reach Blodgett’s son, Greg, for comments. “I’m just tired of covering it up,” Peralta can be heard saying in video released by the Roswell Police Department. “I’m tired of living with my life, sir,” he told responding police, adding that guilt drove him to reach out. “I killed somebody, dude,” he told a detective later in an interview room, saying, “I killed him with a screwdriver.” Peralta can be seen crying as he discusses details of the case with authorities. Blodgett’s son, Greg, reported him missing on January 3, 2009, after no one in his family was able to reach him for more than 10 days, police say. Police investigated and learned Blodgett reportedly had an issue with his tenant, later identified as Peralta, around that time and tried to evict him, a police report cited in the criminal affidavit said. A detective later interviewed Peralta but “no new leads” came from the conversation, the affidavit said.

Rescuers in India are scrambling to find survivors after a horrific crash involving three trainskilled hundreds of people in one of the worst rail disasters the country has ever seen. At least 288 peoplehave been confirmed dead and more than 1,000 injured following the collision between two passenger trains and a goods train in the city of Balasore, in eastern Odisha state, on Friday. But rescuers expect the death toll to rise further, as many people are thought to be trapped under upturned carriages. “We are not very hopeful of rescuing anyone alive,” Odisha’s Fire Services Chief, Sudhanshu Sarangi, told local news channel NDTV.

Prayer Guide: 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
1. In Zephaniah 3, God speaks woe to the polluted, the abysmally corrupt in Nigeria. Verse 1. Pray for the spirit of repentance to fall upon the leaders now.
2. God speaks woe to the Oppressing ‘cities’ of Nigeria and their governors who operate the weapons of oppression. Pray for eyes to be opened and for repentance that they may  turn away from their evil ways before it is too late.
3. Pray down verse 9 and 10 of Zephaniah chapter 3. Pray that the hearts of the people may once again be turned unto the Lord.
4. Pray that the Church of Jesus Christ that has become dry bones in the valley of dry bones may rise again and become an End Time mighty Army, that will bring about WORLD REVIVAL in Jesus Holy Name.
5. Let is thank The Lord for answered prayers. AMEN

1.    First, the way He came did not match their expectations.
2.    He did not do what they expected the Messiah would do upon His Arrival on earth.

Today, we shall discuss how people may again miss the SECOND coming of the Messiah. Our focus Scripture today will be Matthew 24.
The major reasons that may make many miss the Messiah in His Second Coming is contained in Matthew 24:12.
1.    Iniquity shall abound. Iniquity is lawlessness. What happens when there is lawlessness? See verses 5-11
2.    Let us examine the examples of lawlessness in 2 Timothy 3:1-7. Let us list the elements of this lawlessness from Matthew and Timothy: wars, persecution of innocent people such as missionaries, false prophets, dishonesty, blatant disobedience to parents and lawful authority, unnatural relationships, a collective rejection of God as you find in Romans 1: 28. What is the major effect of all these?

3.    As a result of the lawlessness, the love of many will wax cold.  Mathew 24:12.  

4.    What is meant by The Love of many will wax cold? Does the “many” include Christians?  Why would love of many wax cold because of lawlessness? What happens when there is lawlessness in the home, in the church, in an organization, in a government? How does it impact the attitude or commitment of individuals in such cases?
5.    A major outcome of lawlessness is persecution of Christians
6.    When there is persistent oppression of the poor and the innocent, when there is a general breakdown of law and order, then ordinary otherwise good people are discouraged and may give up.
Let us close in prayer today that:
(a). we will not be among those whose love has waxed cold when The Lord comes in the Rapture.
(b). we will not be among those who have grown disinterested in the “faith once delivered unto the saints” Jude 1:3
(c). we will be among those who diligently seek Him through the Study of His Word and prayer as never before
(d). we will remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit, in the time that remains.

Less than two weeks to the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, the failure of the much-hyped Nigeria-Germany electricity deal, expected to be implemented by Siemens, re-echoed yesterday, even as the national grid collapsed again, throwing the nation into darkness. Yesterday’s failure marked the 99th time the grid would crash under Buhari’s two-term administration. He had promised to raise the power performance level to 10,000 megawatts (MW) at the close of his first term in 2019. But four years after the end of the goalpost, performance is still kneecapped by poor transmission and other challenges to less than 50 per cent of what he promised. The collapse was reportedly caused by a breaker issue at Shiroro plant, as some distribution companies have reported that their feeders were out of supply due since the electricity sector was privatized in 2013.
United States of America (USA), yesterday, announced it placed visa restrictions on some Nigerians who undermined the 2023 elections, held in February and March. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, made the disclosure in a statement. Clarifying scope of the sanctions, Blinken affirmed: “The United States is committed to supporting and advancing democracy in Nigeria and around the world. “These actions are specific to certain individuals and are not directed at the Nigerian people or the Government of Nigeria as a whole.” “The decision to take steps to impose visa restrictions reflects the continued commitment of the United States to support Nigerian aspirations to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.”

Authorities on Tuesday identified Beau Wilson, 18, as the gunman who killed three people and wounded six others Monday as he roamed a northwestern New Mexico neighborhood, shooting at random with an assault-style rifle and other guns before police killed him. Wilson was a high school student, authorities said at a news conference in the city of Farmington. He was armed with at least three weapons, including an AR-style rifle, that were purchased legally, Deputy Police Chief Kyle Dowdy said. “We’re still investigating how he came into possession of those firearms,” Dowdy said, adding the gunman, who turned 18 in October, bought one of the guns in November. The three deceased victims were elderly women who were traveling in cars, authorities said.
A 12-year-old boy is accused of shooting and killing an employee at a Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Texas after an argument in the parking lot, authorities said. Matthew Davis, 32, was working at the Sonic Drive-In on Saturday night and confronted Angel Gomez, 20, because he was “being disorderly in the parking lot,” police in Keene said. “The argument soon became physical. During the altercation, a juvenile … a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle, retrieved a firearm and fired multiple shots, striking the victim,” Keene police said in a statement on Facebook. Police Chief James Kidd told CNN at least six shots were fired from an “AR-style 22 rifle,” striking Davis. Gomez and the 12-year-old then fled the scene. Gomez returned to the parking lot where he was taken into custody. Officers later located the juvenile and recovered several firearms when he was taken into custody, police said.

Five of the 10 deadliest mass shootings in America over the past eight years have been in Texas, the latest occurring in Allen in early May when a gunman fired an AR-15-style rifle at a crowded outlet mall, killing eight people and injuring at least seven others. The number of mass shootings in Texas is no coincidence given the sheer number of guns in the hands of the public, several gun violence experts told CNN. Texas has among the most expansive gun rights in the country – roughly 60% of households own at least one gun, according to an Every town for Gun Safety analysis of 2021 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Rescue and relief efforts are underway in Somalia following historic flooding that has left at least 22 people dead and affected more than 460,000 people, according to the United Nations. The flash and riverine flooding — said to be one of Somalia’s worst in decades — has been triggered by intense Gu seasonal rainfall which caused the Shabelle and Juba Rivers in central Somalia to overflow their banks. “Floods have washed away livestock, inundated farmland and displaced an estimated 219,00 people,” Petroc Wilton, the head of communications at WFP Somalia, told ABC News. “We have been using chartered flights, boats and tractors to get into flood zones.” She added, “Gu seasonal rains have caused these floods and increased humanitarian needs.” At least 22 people have been killed, according to Somalia’s Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA). Somalia has also been experiencing its longest drought on record.
Two weeks after mass shootings shook their country, Serbians have surrendered more than 15,000 weapons, more than 2,500 explosive devices, and hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition, as part of a month-long amnesty announced by the government. Since the shootings, what began as candlelit vigils for those killed have swelled into fully fledged protests against the government. And the anger is directed not just at guns, but at the “culture of violence” – from iron-fisted political discourse to the exaltation of criminals – over which the government has prevailed, critics say. Friday saw tens of thousands of people march through Belgrade in what was the biggest anti-violence protest so far, according to CNN affiliate N1.
