First Believe … Pray

John 14:1; Hebrew 11:19 This is the fight of faith that I am currently fighting in my walk with the Lord. Today as we pray we see the manifestation of answers to our specific prayers now and then. It is like mercy drops are dropping but we want abundance. The Word of God says the …
show morethe World is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Yes that Truth is very much in evidence today. The world is asking: is what we Christians preach, true? More than ever before we need the Power to fall like the mount Camel experience! However in John 14: 1 Jesus says “Do not let your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me” That is the order: We cannot stand on the Word of God unless we believe in God. We must first believe in God! Then we can believe in Jesus, God’s Word. We must believe that God lives and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. The burning bush experience shows that Moses believed God. He who was heir to the throne of the Empire of Egypt was on the backside of the desert for 40 years. However because he believed, he was waiting for manifestation and he was waiting without a doubt and that was why he did not dismiss the burning bush as some mirage! What do we do to see this manifestation at our own time? PRAYER! Fervent prayer; relentless prayer! Can we have a mount Camel experience today that conspiracy theories in the church and outside the church may know the difference? Yes. And it’s through PRAYER !!! You may say “but we have been praying”. One Nigerian televangelist recently broadcast to the world that Nigeria has prayed enough. Can we ever pray enough? To have manifestation of the power of prayer we must pray fervent prayer of the righteous. That experienced wise and passionate 19th century pastor EM Bounds, writing about the transformative power of prayer, says this stage of abundance of rain is reached not easily. “It is only reached after many failures, much praying, many waiting, and much trial of faith.” Therefore let us pray that our faith is increased “until we receive all the fullness that there is in the Name of Jesus” . Prayer: “Lord increase our faith until doubt is gone and absolute trust claims the promised blessings as its very own” .
Another Pentecost Experience
Leave a Comment / Nuggets for the Journey / By Andrew Omotoso
The message today in the churches is about prosperity, or deliverance from demons that block prosperity. In contrast: The message at Pentecost was repentance. Peter preached repentance and 3000 were saved in an instance. (Acts: 2) He preached some more and a total of 5000 souls came into Salvation! (Acts 4:41) The message of John the …
show moreBaptist was repentance. As a result, there was conviction, there was repentance and the baptism of convicted and converted souls took place. Luke 3:3 The Core Message of Jesus is repentance (Mark 1:14-15) The results: Today there are mighty cathedrals, great preachers with personal jets. There is misery all over the place. People are confused and lost; the preachers compete among themselves, who will be the richest, in the perfection of manipulative devices to milk the sheep. Satan is left severely alone freely marching up and down, devouring the sheep unhindered! What to do? Let us pray that our hearts may be broken by what breaks the heart of God. Let us bow down like Daniel of old and mourn for the captivity of Zion (The Church of Jesus Christ today). Let us confess our sins as well as the sins of the church and nations in the midst of which we are planted. Let us pray and repent, letting our hearts be broken like that of Nehemiah for the desolation of the Church and the Nation. I know that many are weeping as they observe the misery, the devastation all around. Many are sad and full of sorrow. But weeping is not enough. Repentance is it! Let us repent, turn away from our evil ways. Let us commit to doing the work of righteousness. In the midst of this, the Lord will let REVIVAL burst open and God will open the door for a Remnant to again rebuild the Walls of Jerusalem, the Walls of Righteousness, reviving His Church all over the earth once again as it was in Azusa Street revival California in 1906-1909. Let us truly follow 2 Chronicles 7:14. Let us pray fervently for another Pentecost experience at our own time in Jesus Name. Amen.
3 Questions To Ask Daily
Leave a Comment / Nuggets for the Journey / By Andrew Omotoso
There are three Questions we need to ask ourselves every day: 1. Who am I? • Confused about your identity? Many, especially the youth today, say they do not know whether they are women, men, both or neither! • Are you confused if you are a Christian, free thinker or an atheist? Are you confused about who…
show moreabout who or what you really believe? • Are you a believer in muscular Christianity, focusing only on your body, aesthetics, self discipline and patriotism? • Are you a gentle saintly person in church but a terror to your spouse at home? Do you worship your “Man of God” in Church but bully and denigrate your ordained spouse at home? 2. Whose am I? • Every one belongs to someone or something. A soldier belongs to the government whom he or she obeys on oath.. • A cult member belongs to the cult and it’s leader and has sworn to follow him or her. • A Christian is a believer in Jesus Christ whom he or she has accepted as his or her Lord and Savior and has publicly declared to serve Him for ever. • Are you sometimes not sure whose you are? 3. Where are you going? • Are you sure which you are heading? If you do not know where you are going, any road gets you there. • Are you following an influencer, a celebrity even though you do not know where the celebrity is going? You just know he or she has a large following and so you have to join to be in the number • The way to go is the Way to Heaven and the Way to Heaven is Jesus Christ. No other way. So as you read this piece, check your identity, check your Passport to know whose you are and check the Destination of the Way you are heading and make immediate adjustments. Follow the Way of salvation. Follow Jesus and live for ever. Amen.

CALL-IN NUMBER: +16309840424 or https://meetings.dialpad.com/room/livingfountain This week in Nigeria: Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, was arrested in Benin Republic based on the directive of the Nigerian government, but there has been no request yet for his extradition, one of the Beninese lawyers of the activist, Ibrahim David Salami has said. Salami, who spoke in an interview with BBC Yoruba also revealed the charges levelled against Igboho which led to the arrest of the agitator alongside his wife at an airport in Cotonou, Republic of Benin last Monday. The lawyer said there were three reasons given by the Nigerian government to request the arrest of Igboho by the Benin Republic as stated in the charges against the agitator in court last Thursday. “Nigerian government said Igboho was involved in arms trafficking into Nigeria. “The second one is that he is causing a disturbance in Nigeria and the third one is that he is trying to divide Nigeria into two or three,” said Salami He added that Nigeria has not provided proof of the allegations. The Nigerian Ambassador to The Republic of Benin (Buratai’s) disposition is very clear and it is to get Chief Sunday Igboho arrested and returned to the country. I don’t want to specifically talk about things, which facts are not available to me, but we were informed that he placed calls and made efforts to ensure that my client was repatriated without following the rule of law but Benin Republic declined the request and insisted that everything must be done within the precinct of the law. He organised a private jet already on standby that same night to immediately convey Chief Sunday Igboho to Nigeria. He thought Chief Sunday Igboho is his property but then with the stance of Benin Republic and the agitation of people all over the world, he couldn’t achieve that. Now, they (the Nigerian government) are at the mercy at the law that they cannot run away from. This week in America: In his first day on the job, Tom Manger — the new chief of the US Capitol Police — said Friday that he would be “a fool to not be concerned” about the threat of more attacks on the Capitol, especially given chatter on extremists’ forums about possible action in August. “The safety and security of the US Capitol, the Congress, that legislative process, those are top priorities,” Manger told CNN’s Josh Campbell in an interview. “I am absolutely concerned about all of those things,” he said, adding that the US Capitol Police is taking steps to ensure greater security by looking at recommendations from a number of follow-up reports on how the department can improve after the January 6 breach of the building. Manger joins the Capitol Police at a critical time as officers continue to grapple with the aftermath of the riot alongside increasing threats against lawmakers. Alabama Republican Gov. Kay Ivey’s blunt message that unvaccinated people are letting the nation down capped a week where some Republicans finally seemed ready to abandon their dangerous coddling of Covid-19 vaccine skeptics and push Americans to get the shot. “Folks are supposed to have common sense. But it’s time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks,” Ivey said in frustration Thursday as she spoke from the least vaccinated state in the nation. “It’s the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down.” Ivey’s deliverance of hard truth followed a week of troubling Covid headlines, when some other Republican governors also redoubled their efforts to get their constituents vaccinated, including Missouri’s Mike Parson, West Virginia’s Jim Justice and Florida’s Ron DeSantis. The Department of Defense has experienced about 2,000 breakthrough Covid-19 cases among its more than 2 million fully vaccinated personnel, Pentagon spokesman Maj. Cesar Santiago-Santini told CNN in a statement, but it’s unclear how many are a result of the Delta variant. “Like the civilian sector, we are seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases, driven by, we believe, the Delta variant. We are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19, regardless of variant type, and we are urging everyone to get vaccinated,” Santiago-Santini said. The breakthrough cases, which include both asymptomatic and symptomatic occurrences, represent less than 0.1% of immunized individuals in the Defense Department community, Santiago-Santini said. This week in the world: Russia is cooperating closely with Myanmar to supply military hardware including aircraft, the Interfax news agency cited Alexander Mikheev, the head of Russian state arms trader Rosoboronexport, as saying on Wednesday (Jul 21). Rights activists have accused Moscow of legitimizing Myanmar’s junta, which seized power in a Russia’s Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu told Myanmar’s junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing during his visit to the Russian capital last month that Moscow was committed to strengthening military ties. Speaking on the sidelines of Russia’s annual MAKS air show, which President Vladimir Putin attended on Tuesday, Mikheev said Myanmar is one of Rosoboronexport’s key customers in southeast Asia and a key partner of Rostec, Russia’s state aerospace and defence conglomerate. An Indian pastor and his family were forced to flee their village in the Shyampur area of Uttarakhand state’s Haridwar district after police detained and beat him for sharing his Christian faith. Pastor Sanjay Kumar Bharati was arrested in June for reportedly violating COVID-19 restrictions, Morning Star News reports. While in custody, police tortured and threatened him. A week after severe flooding hit western Europe, devastating Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, German officials said Thursday they fear the 158 people still missing there may not be found. The death toll from the floods has risen to at least 205 across the continent, while a total of at least 176 people remains accounted for. Belgium accounts for 32 deaths and 18 missing, according to its national crisis center. In Germany, the hardest-hit country, entire towns were inundated by water, while train lines and roads were swept away by the flash floods, claiming at least 173 lives. Germany’s federal disaster relief organization said it was very unlikely that any more survivors would be found. Rescue services have continued to comb through towns ravaged by the floods in search of potential survivors. Prayer Guide: 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIGERIA: Let us pray fervently for Igboho for victory at the Court on Monday. Pray that as he is undergoing this crisis for standing up for what is righteous, that he will have an encounter with Jesus and receive salvation in Jesus Name. Pray that Brutai under whom the Boko Haram insurgency thrived and many lives of soldiers lost, and who still continues to do wickedly will like Pharaoh and other wicked stubborn pursuers are drowned in the red sea of God’s judgment in Jesus Name. Let us continue to cry to the Lord for a Gideon, a Jehu, a remnant that he has prepared for such times as this to rescue Nigeria from the grip of satan in Jesus Name. AMERICA: American leaders are trapping their followers with lies so they may win elections. Let is thank The Lord for tearing down these citadels of lies. People’s eyes are being opened to the truth. Pray the Lord to pass through His Church in America and remove the false prophets in Jesus Name Pray the Lord to spare the armed forces of America from this pandemic in Jesus Name. The Intelligence department is warning against possible violence this summer. Pray that all the plans of evil cultic groups to cays=use violence will fail in Jesus Name. Pray that those planning evil against August 14 will themselves fall into the traps they have set for others. The World: Let us pray that even though hand of evil (the Myanmar wicked junta), join hand with Russia’s wicked ruler, The wicked will not go unpunished Proverbs 11:21 Pray for the missionaries and the Christian communities in the countries where it is most difficult today to be a Christian. Pray for them to persevere. Pray for them not to lose their faith in Jesus Name. Such countries are Northern Korea, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Nigeria Pray specifically for the Indian Pastor Sanjay Kumar Bharati now in police custody. Pray for his release. Pray that the Gospel will prosper in His hand. Pray for Europe suffering from the storms that have taken lives. Speak Peace to the weather. Pray The Lord to stay off the several epidemics going on in the world today. Pray that the people on earth will remember their Creator and run for the Salvation that Jesu has made freely available to the world · Let us thank God for answered prayers. Rev. Andrew Omotoso

CALL-IN NUMBER: +16309840424 or https://meetings.dialpad.com/room/livingfountain This week in Nigeria: Accusation and counter accusation on Friday trailed the massive killings said to be going on in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, with the two groups at the centre of the carnage, the Fulani and the Atyap people, engaging in a war of words, each party blaming the other for the devastations being done to lives and property in the area. While the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) accused the Fulani of killing the people of Atyap extraction and burning down their houses and churches, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Kaduna chapter, alleged that the Atyap engaged in the killing of defenseless Fulani herdsmen and members of their families. However, “On 13th July 2021, two persons were killed as armed Fulani herdsmen invaded Magata and Magori villages in Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area (LGA) in Southern Kaduna. Mr. Aminu Malle, the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Idris Wase, has thanked northern members of the House for protecting and promoting the interest of the North in the recently passed Petroleum Industry Bill and the Electoral Act. The congratulatory message was sent on behalf of Wase by Malle to the northern caucus through their WhatsApp group and leaked to The PUNCH by one of the members. In the recently passed PIB, northern Nigeria’s quest for oil received a huge boost as Section 9 of the bill states that at least 30 per cent of the profit generated by the proposed Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited will go to the exploration of oil in ‘frontier basins,’ which are mostly northern states. However, the demand by oil producing communities in the South for five per cent of the profit of oil firms was cut down to three per cent. Media chiefs in the country have said the media won’t be deterred by the directive of the Federal Government that the media should not divulge “details” of the activities of bandits, terrorists and kidnappers in their reports. The President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mustapha Isah; the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Chris Isiguzo; and the Executive Director, Centre for Media Law and Advocacy, Richard Akinnola; made this known in separate interviews with Saturday PUNCH on Friday. According to them, the media reports activities and does not create events. They advised the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to tackle the security challenges in the country and desist from its attempts to gag the media through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed. The media veterans were reacting to a directive by the National Broadcasting Commission that television and radio stations in Nigeria should not “glamourize the nefarious activities of insurgents” during their daily newspaper reviews. This week in America SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Two California men have been charged with plotting to blow up the Democratic Party’s headquarters in the state capital, a bombing they hoped would be the first in a series of politically-motivated attacks, federal prosecutors said Thursday. The pair used multiple messaging apps to plan to attack targets they associated with Democrats after the November 2020 presidential election, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a statement. Their first intended target was the John L. Burton Democratic Headquarters in Sacramento, prosecutors said. “According to the indictment, the defendants planned to use incendiary devices to attack their targets and hoped their attacks would prompt a movement,” the statement said. Ian Benjamin Rogers, 45, and Jarrod Copeland, 37, each face multiple charges including conspiracy to destroy by fire or explosive a building used or in affecting interstate commerce, prosecutors said. Rogers, of Napa, is charged with additional weapons violations, including one count of possession of unregistered destructive devices, and three counts of possession of machine guns. Copeland, of Vallejo, is charged with an additional count of destruction of records. It wasn’t known Thursday evening if the men have attorneys who could speak on their behalf. “I want to blow up a democrat building bad,” Rogers wrote, according to the indictment unsealed Thursday in San Francisco federal court. Copeland responded, “I agree” and “Plan attack,” the indictment says. Amid an uptick in coronavirus cases across the country, members of the White House COVID-19 response team on Friday warned that communities with low vaccination rates will continue to see a preventable rise in cases, hospitalizations and deaths from the disease. “This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said during a press briefing. “We are seeing outbreaks of cases in parts of the country that have low vaccination rates because unvaccinated people are at risk.” The CDC reported more than 33,000 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, with the nation’s seven-day average (26,300) up nearly 70 percent from the previous week. The seven-day average of hospital admissions (2,790) is up more than 35 percent. And after weeks of declines, the seven-day average for daily deaths, now 211, is up more than 25 percent. This week in the world In Altenahr in western Germany, even the dead were not spared in this week’s devastating flood. The village cemetery was swept away, headstones damaged and toppled by the force of the muddy water. Antoinnette Steinhoff stands at the edge of the flooded graveyard, crushed by the sight of destruction in front of her. “My mother is over there,” she says, pointing at a black marble grave with a cross on top. When the flooding hit the village, the 76-year-old saw an entire house dragged away by the water. Two people were still inside, Steinhoff said “They found one of the bodies up in the vineyard,” she added. Much of Altenahr lies in ruin now. Restaurants dotted around the river banks have been destroyed and entire chunks of buildings torn away. In some areas, the water mark reaches halfway through the second floor. The death toll rose to more than 100 in western and central Europe Friday after rounds of heavy rainfall caused rivers to burst their banks, producing disastrous flooding that washed away houses and roadways. And the death toll may continue to increase as floodwaters begin to gradually recede. The catastrophic flooding ravaged Belgium and Germany where thousands now find themselves homeless, The Associated Press reported. Hundreds of people are reportedly still missing. ”In some areas we have not seen as much rainfall in 100 years,” a spokesperson from Deutscher Wetterdienst, the German weather service, said in a statement, CNN reported. The Middle East and North Africa is witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases aggravated by the Delta variant of the virus — and it may get worse over coming weeks — according to the World Health Organization (WHO). An increase in coronavirus cases has been reported in Libya, Iran, Iraq and Tunisia as the region edges toward a “critical point,” WHO’s Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office said Wednesday. Across the region, more than 11 million cases have been recorded in total since the start of the pandemic. WHO also warned of possible “catastrophic consequences” of the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday, which begins in the week of July 20 and is traditionally celebrated with large or medium-sized social gatherings. Tunisia, one of the Arab world’s worst-hit countries by the Delta variant, has reimposed lockdowns. It has also appealed to Arab Gulf countries for critical aid, as its health care sector faces “catastrophe,” according to the Tunisian government. Prayer Guide 2 Chronicles 7:14 Nigeria The government backed killing by the Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and Kidnappers is going on unchecked in Nigeria. Those like Kanu and Ighoho who are not known or found to carry weapons are declared terrorists by the Nigerian Government. The epidemics of Boko Haram, Herdsman marauders are not so declared nor are they as hunted down as Kanu or Igboho. Pray the Lord to mercifully remove the satanic governments in Nigeria in Jesus Name Darkness covers Nigeria at this time. Pray the Light of God to shine again over Nigeria that darkness may melt away The Church is in a state of stupor in Nigeria. Pray The Lord to let His Light shine upon Nigeria again and bring about a landslide revival in Nigeria and in Africa America Let us thank The Lord for dismantling the citadel of lies in America by exposing those who plan to carry out Satan’s plans to kill, steal and to destroy in America. Pray for mercy to bring down the uptick in the rise of the delta coronavirus especially in those GOP areas that refused to take the vaccine. Let us pray for the mercy of God to stay the hands of this pandemic in America The World Let us pray for Europe that the inclement weather will let up. Pray the Lord to comfort the bereaved and those who lost their homes. Pray that in all of these, people would remember that there is a God Who rules in the affairs of man. Pray that the Lord Who alone can bring beauty out of ashes may let all that is happening all over the world bring about REVIVAL at our own time in Jesus Holy Name. Pray the Light of the Gospel to shine all over the middle East at this time in Jesus’ name. Let us thank the Lord for answered prayers. Rev. Andrew Omotoso Rev. Andrew Omotoso

CALL-IN NUMBER: +16309840424 or https://meetings.dialpad.com/room/livingfountain This week in Nigeria: Following the abduction of 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna State, the Nigerian Baptist Convention said it had started organizing prayers in all Baptist churches in Nigeria and abroad. The President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, Revd. Israel Akanji, said this in an interview with Saturday PUNCH on Friday, which he said was the last day of the Baptist World Alliance. Akanji said the alliance comprised 127 countries of the world and that the event held via Zoom, a virtual meeting platform. The clergy said at the event hosted by Brazil, the 127 countries that make up the Baptist World Alliance were informed of the abduction of students of the Bethel Baptist High School. Asked what efforts the Baptist Church had made so far, the clergy said, “You know that we are a church and once we are in any difficulty, the first point of call is to God in prayer. Therefore, we have been organizing prayer all over the Baptist Church in Nigeria and all over the world. Despite the attack, Akanji said the Baptist Church would not be intimidated, noting that the Church would continue to provide quality education. According to him, the Baptist Church has for the past 166 years operated secondary schools in Nigeria. The ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja has “ordered the Federal Government to pay journalist Agba Jalingo N30m as compensation for ill-treating and torturing him while in detention in Cross River state.” The court said in a judgment today: “Agba Jalingo was arrested and chained to a deep freezer for about 34 days without being charged to court, brutalized and dehumanized. This action taken on Jalingo’s behalf by SERAP seeks from this court reparation for inhuman treatment and torture meted out to him. We have looked at the evidence before us. There was no answer as to the facts that Jalingo was arrested and illegally detained, brutalized and dehumanized.” “This is against international human rights treaties, particularly the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights to which Nigeria is a state party. The Nigerian government has flouted the provisions of these treaties on international fair trial standards.” “For these reasons, on the claims of compensation for ill-treatment and torture, SERAP has been able to establish the claims. We condemn the Nigerian government for these acts, and hereby award compensation of N30m to Mr Jalingo for violations of his human rights. The Nigerian government must comply with the order of the court within three months, and file a process to this court to this effect.” Reacting to the judgment, Femi Falana, SAN said: “In view of the ongoing brutalization of hapless Nigerian citizens by the police and other security agencies, this judgment could not have come at a more opportune time than now.”He was prosecuted because of his reporting in his online news outlet, Cross River Watch, which alleged that the Cross Rivers State Governor diverted the sum of N500 Million, belonging to the Cross-River Micro Finance Bank.” A notorious bandit operating within the precincts of Zamfara State Forest recently boasted about his operations and exploits against the Nigerian military. In a trending video, the bandit who was identified by his alias, Dankarami, was holding a rifle while surrounded by a crowd. He granted an interview to some persons suspected to be government officials, including policemen. In the video which lasted four minutes 40 seconds, the dreadlocked bandit was heard boasting about his ambushes against military convoys in Zamfara State. Narrating his deadly exploits, Dankarami said, “After three months, they brought in soldiers and took them to Dumburum. I allowed them. My house was under the road they passed; I let them. “I relocated my wives and stayed alone with my boys. One evening, on the fourth day, on their way from Gusau, I dealt with them (soldiers). “They sent another team and I killed half of them. Another evening, they ambushed my brothers who were bringing me supplies and seized their motorcycles. They joined forces with Niger State. I dealt with them. I’m still here till tomorrow. “No one can arrest me unless I let them. Whatever they (my boys) want to do, they won’t do until I say so. The other day, they went to Zurmi and kidnapped children, small children. I was sleeping at home; they said there were 40 people. I took them back. Since our parents pleaded with us to return the children, did we collect a single naira? Did anyone give us anything? Apart from Dankarami who relished the killing of security operatives and abduction of innocent people, there are hundreds of other gun-wielding outlaws holding sway in different forests in the North whom the government has tacitly given the Licence to kill, steal and destroy. In Katsina State, bandits have killed over 1,500 citizens, and rustled thousands of livestock while Governor Aminu Masari appears helpless. Five months after vowing never to negotiate again with the bandits, Masari hosted two gang leaders, 30-year-old Sale Turwa and 33-year-old Muhammed Sani Maidaji at the Government House. Rather than tackle the bandits, the Muhammadu Buhari regime appears to be indirectly encouraging an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, to meet with the bandits frequently. The cleric has been demanding amnesty for the hoodlums, while also suggesting that they should be engaged to guard the forests. This week in America The Justice Department said this week that former President Donald Trump’s delusional claims that he’ll be reinstated to the White House could fuel more political violence from his supporters. Trump and some of his allies on the right-wing fringe have pushed the ridiculous theory that he could be reinstated as president next month. There is no legal or constitutional mechanism for that to happen, and Trump’s claims of a “stolen” 2020 election have been fully debunked. Federal prosecutors brought up Trump’s rhetoric this week in one of the US Capitol riot cases. The rioter, Marine Corps veteran Alex Harkrider, asked a judge to discontinue his GPS tracking and remove his ankle monitor. The Justice Department opposes this request, saying Trump’s rhetoric could inspire Harkrider to become violent in the future. Harkrider has pleaded not guilty. “Former President Trump continues to make false claims about the election, insinuate that he may be reinstalled in the near future as President without another election, and minimize the violent attack on the Capitol,” prosecutors wrote in the filing. “Television networks continue to carry and report on those claims, with some actually giving credence to the false reporting.” Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas revealed in a video circulating online that he wants to jam Democrats’ legislative goals so Republicans can win the 2022 midterms. In the video posted by Democratic activist Lauren Windsor on Tuesday, Roy was asked specifically about infrastructure negotiations in Congress. “The people who were working to cut the deal, by the way, were not your conservative warriors in the Senate. On Wednesday afternoon, Roy responded to coverage of his earlier comments in a statement standing by his remarks, saying he plans to “oppose almost everything that Congress does,” and pledging “to fight with every ounce of my being to stop the radical left — and weak Republicans.” “For the next 18 months, Republicans’ job is to do everything that we can to slow down and block the Democrats’ radical agenda, and then win the majority and lead,” Roy said. This week in the world: The charred shells of three burned-out cars marked the road to the president’s house on Friday in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Just up the hill, former leader Jovenel Moise had been murdered in his bedroom two days earlier, in an otherwise quiet neighborhood of big houses and high walls topped with barbed wire and overhanging flowers. What exactly happened during the Wednesday attack is still unknown, along with its motive. But Carl Henri Destin, a local district judge tasked with investigating and documenting the crime scene, described the aftermath in minute detail to CNN. “The doors were riddled with bullets, the glass was broken, the doors were smashed, even the locks were destroyed and lying on the ground,” he said. Resistance against military Junta in Myanmar is growing. A bomb targeting a jewelry store owned by a member of Myanmar’s ruling junta exploded in downtown Yangon on Thursday, according to sources in the area. One employee of the Shwe Nan Daw jewelry store, located at the intersection of Mahabandoola and Lanmadaw roads in Lanmadaw Township, was injured in the attack, staff at neighboring shops told Myanmar Now. The Shwe Nan Daw jewelry store is owned by Thet That Khine, the regime’s minister for social welfare, relief and resettlement. It was the second time in less than a month that a property linked to the minister has been bombed. Introduction Welcome to this Prayer bulletin which this time covers Nigeria, America, and the world. If you are reading this for the first time, you are welcome to this prayer group for Nigeria, America and the world. It is a critical time for the children of God to cry to our Father for His divine intervention in the world and to revive His Church for the end-time preparation for the Harvest. Now every week we set aside one hour between 8-9 p.m. to pray. A short prayer guide is forwarded every week before the prayers. If you know of any Christian who has a burden for Nigeria or America, and the Church, please pass this on. And please pray. Attention please! And please share the burden of Nigeria. join us in a 30-minute prayer by phone on Sundays at 8pm to cry to The Lord for divine intervention. All over the world today, there is an unnecessary war going on in one location or the other. of Syrians live in extreme poverty, on less than $1.90 a day. About 920,000 individuals had been newly displaced inside of Syria, as recently reported by World Report. In Nigeria There is a three pronged onslaught aimed mainly at Christian communities. (1) the Islamic herdsmen who destroy farms and kill local farmers to make room for their cows. The armed forces of Nigeria appear not able to locate or arrest any of these herdsman armed with military AK 47 guns even though photographers are able to locate them and photograph them with their AK 47 guns dangling across their shoulders. (2) The Boko Haram who kill at will and destroy farms and entire villages especially in those states where there are significant Christian communities, such as Borno, Benue, Plateau and Kaduna states. These terrorists easily decimate army formations making a feeble ill-equipped resistance in those locations at will. (3) Then there are the Bandits a mixed grill of Herdsmen, local adherents of Boko Haram, unemployed and drug infested youth who make quick cash to survive. As a result of the above combined onslaughts there are at the moment about 2.3 million internally displaced people in Nigeria mainly children, women and the youth. In China Churches are being burnt and Pastors shut up in Prisons. Other Faith Minority communities especially the Ughur people are being quarantined by the Chinese authorities In Yemen 50,000 have died in four years, as a result of an ongoing famine. In 2018, the United Nations warned that 13 million Yemeni civilians face starvation in what it says could become “the worst famine in the world in 100 years” The bombing campaign has killed or injured an estimated 17,729 civilians as of March 2019 according to the Yemen Data Project Why should we care? • We are all born in the image of God, and can and should live together in peace and love on earth • It may appear to be somebody else’s problem today, it can be yours tomorrow because all that it takes for evil to thrive is for the good people to fold their arms and do nothing. For good to prevail over evil, good people must organize.. • We should care because God says so. He commands us to care for the hungry, those in prison and those sick in Hospital Matthew 25:35-45 How can we help? • Pray – Join the Encouragers Ministry prayer line for 30 minutes of prayer every Sunday at 8 pm US Eastern Time by calling +1 630-984-0424. You will receive the Prayer Guideline bulletin weekly on Saturday night if you submit your email address to andrew@theencouragers.org. You may also pray in your closet or join other prayer groups who have the burden to pray for nations. • Give generously because whoever is kind to the needy honors God: Proverbs 14:31. Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. • Speak up. Ephesians 5:11-12 says so “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret” Isaiah 5:20 asks us to condemn evil: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter”. All that it takes for evil to thrive is for the good people to fold their arms and do nothing. So, let us speak up against evil. • Learn more. The Bible says, “my people perish for lack of knowledge”: Hosea 4:6. Get to know what is going on around you. We should be socially and politically aware.
